About the Artist
Meet Aisling, a multi-talented creative hailing from Dublin, Ireland.
Her artistic journey began at 16 when she embarked on a career as a makeup artist, crafting looks for short films, TV, theater, editorial shoots, commercials, and brides. Her passion for the arts led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Degree at Ireland's renowned National Film School (IADT), where she graduated with a First Class Honors in Design for Stage & Screen.
Aisling's career took flight as she delved into the world of celebrities, successful artists, esteemed directors, models, photographers, and global brands. Her talent and dedication earned her recognition, with the Irish Times lauding her as "one of the most exciting makeup artists in Ireland," and Image Magazine naming her "one to watch."
Not content with makeup alone, Aisling explored her love for writing by contributing to various local print and online publications. She covered diverse topics, from Irish subcultures to alternative beauty, fashion, and set design. Her writing and makeup work caught the attention of esteemed publications like British Vogue, PhotoVogue Italia, The New York Times, and more.
In 2019, Aisling embarked on a new adventure, relocating to Toronto. There, she applied her creative expertise in a different domain, becoming a content lead for a prominent tattoo and permanent makeup company. She mastered the art of crafting written content, designing emails, and spearheading advertising campaigns with an in-house team.
Now back in Dublin since late 2020, Aisling continues her journey as a freelance creative director, successfully overseeing global campaigns encompassing online, social, out-of-home, and experiential marketing. Yet, amidst her bustling career, she remains deeply connected to her makeup roots, collaborating with Ireland's top creatives, especially in the media space, often working with musicians for TV appearances, editorial shoots, and music videos. While her schedule allows only a limited amount of wedding makeup work each year, she takes delight in being part of a bride's special day when the stars align.
